Creator rewards
If you launched a token, you earn a share of every trade on it, every buy and every sell, by anyone, forever. It starts with the very first trade and never stops.
That is true of two of the three token types. How much you earn, and whether you earn at all, depends on the type you chose at launch:
| Token type | You earn |
|---|---|
| Standard | 0.7% of every trade |
| Auto-Burn | 0.4% of every trade |
| Tax-Free | Nothing, ever |
You are paid in both assets. Fees accrue in whatever traders hand over, and trades go both ways, so what the pool collects is part ETH and part your own token. Your share of each is set aside for you. Selling the token half is your call and nobody makes it for you — but it is worth knowing that selling it is selling into your own market.
There is only one phase. A token launches straight into its Uniswap pool, so there is no curve period with different rules and no handover to wait through. What is described below is how your rewards work from the first block to the last.
If you launched Tax-Free
You will never earn anything from it, and nothing else on this page applies to you. There is no Claim card, no balance building up, and no collect that pays you.
This is not a fault and it is not something support can switch on. Tax-Free means holders trade without a fee, which means there is no fee to share — with anyone, including the burn. It is the type for a creator who wants the cheapest possible market for holders and takes nothing out of it.
The choice is fixed at launch and cannot be changed afterwards, so be certain before picking it. If you want to earn from your token, launch Standard or Auto-Burn.
The two buttons
Most of the confusion here comes from assuming Collect and Claim are the same button with two names. They are not. They do different jobs.
| Collect | Claim | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Takes the accrued fees and splits them up | Sends your own share to your wallet |
| Who it is for | The token. It moves money for the creator, the burn and the treasury all in one go | You. It moves only your money |
| Who can press it | Anyone at all, including strangers | Anyone at all, but the money always goes to the creator |
| Does the presser get paid? | No. They pay the gas and receive nothing | Yes, the creator does |
| Where to find it | Run Collect & Burn, on the token page or the Keeper page | Claim, on the token page or My tokens |
The short version: collect makes the money available. Claim puts it in your pocket.
Getting paid, step by step
| Step | What you do | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Nothing, just wait | Every buy and every sell adds to the fees the pool has collected. Nobody has been paid yet |
| 2 | Press Run Collect & Burn, or wait for somebody else to | The fees are split three ways. The treasury is paid, the burn share of the token side is destroyed, and your share of both sides is set aside with your address on it |
| 3 | Press Claim | Your set-aside share is sent to your wallet |
Open your token's page with the wallet that created it. At the bottom of the trade panel:
Your creator rewards
0.0000 ETH
The card only appears when you are the creator and there is something to claim. On a Tax-Free token it never appears, because trades cost nothing and so produce nothing to share.
Step 2 does not have to be you. Anyone can press it, and other people often do, because the Keeper page lists every token with fees waiting. But nobody is obliged to, and the person who does gets nothing for it and pays the gas. So if nothing has happened for a while, press it yourself.
Step 2 will not run on tiny amounts. Enough has to have built up to be worth the gas; below that the transaction refuses, on purpose. Nothing is lost while it waits.
Why claim is separate from collect. If collect paid the creator directly and that address refused the transfer, the whole collect would fail — taking the burn and the treasury payment down with it. Keeping them apart means a broken creator address can only ever break its own payout, never trading or anyone else's money.
If something looks wrong
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No Claim card on your token page | You have earned nothing yet, or you are not connected with the wallet that launched it | Check which wallet is connected |
| No Claim card and your token is Tax-Free | Working as intended. Tax-Free tokens earn the creator nothing | Nothing to do. See above |
| Balance stuck at zero, but the token is clearly trading | Nobody has run collect yet. Your money is still waiting | Press Run Collect & Burn yourself |
| Run Collect & Burn fails | Too little has built up yet | Wait for more trading, then try again |
| Claim fails | There is nothing set aside for you. Collect has not run since your last claim | Run collect first, then claim |
| Rewards never arrive at all | The creator address cannot receive ETH | Nothing can fix this after launch. See below |
Your dashboard
My tokens lists every coin you have launched with what has accrued and what is ready to claim, plus the buttons to collect and claim without visiting each token page.
Gas is worth thinking about
Claiming costs gas. Claiming a very small balance can cost more than it is worth. Let it build.
Two edge cases to be aware of
Rewards are paid strictly to the creator address recorded at launch. If that address cannot receive ETH, the balance stays in the contract permanently. Launch from an address you control and that can receive ETH normally.
Handover is two-step and creator-only. The payout address can be changed, but only by the current creator proposing it and the new address accepting. There is no admin override, so nobody at Honkfun can reassign your fee stream, to you or away from you.
